You can make “being a farmgirl” official by joining our ongoing, ever-growing list of Farmgirl Sisterhood members.
When you add your name to the Farmgirl Sisterhood list, you will receive a consecutive number according to when you signed up (for example, Farmgirl Sisterhood Member #1). We’ll mail your official Farmgirl Sisterhood Badge depicting an adorable aproned hen, our official logo, ready to wear or embroider, and an official Farmgirl Sisterhood Certificate signed by the Queen Bee herself. Over on the Farmgirl Connection chatroom, you’ll get a special hexagonal Farmgirl Sisterhood designation by your name. Also, you’ll receive a monthly e-mail newsletter and “Members Only” special discounts on MaryJanesFarm products. You will have the option of starting a “virtual” online chapter called a “Henhouse.” You can start earning Farmgirl Sisterhood Merit Badges right away. Members are the only ones permitted to mentor farmerettes (farmgirls-in-training under the age of 18) and work with them to earn Farmgirl Sisterhood Merit Badges.
In other words, you’ll be strutting your sisterhood stuff for all the world to see!
The official membership badge comes to you needing the “farmgirl touch.” For those of you who want to say they embroidered their badge themselves, we’ve provided for that with a unique design that can be used as an embroidery pattern. For the farmgirl on the go, it can be used right away as a classy faux-embroidered ready-to-go badge. What you’ll receive is our logo printed on a piece of organic cotton that is about 9″ square, big enough to allow for an embroidery hoop should you choose. The extra fabric can be cut into hexagonal pieces for backing (to make your badge stiffer) or to hide your embroidery knots. Or you can cut it out as is and attach it to a denim jacket, an apron pocket, or a purse. In farmgirl style, you might want to embellish it with a few buttons, some bits of fabric, maybe a stretch of vintage lace. Since our badges are printed to look like they’ve been embroidered, it’s hard to tell at first glance. Either way, you’ll be recognized right away as a farmgirl sister and proud of it!
Shipping: There is a small shipping fee to cover the costs of sending you all the initial Sisterhood materials. When you’re only paying for your membership, we send the materials U.S.P.S. for $1.22. If you purchase other items with your membership, then your membership materials are simply sent with the other items, and shipping is determined based on the whole package. All adjustments will be made by us manually after you place your order.
Members will be notified by e-mail or postcard when their year’s membership is about to expire. (If their membership lapses, they’ll lose “their” unique number!) To renew, click here.
